The West Connecticut Rover Club continues to evolve. It was decided in January by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors that the club was ready for several significant changes. After eight years what isn't ready for a change? Over the course of the next several months you will begin to see the results of our changes and we sincerely hope that you approve.

So, what are the changes? First, and most importantly we have decided to discontinue membership. That is, no more dues, no more membership coordination, no more "official junk". Everyone who wants to join in the fun, go off road with us, or just hang out is welcome. Isn't that what clubs are supposed to be about? Simple fun. By keeping things simple and more casual we all can have alot more fun. Next, we have eliminated the newsletter. Some of you probably are saying, "what newsletter!?" Yeah, it has been a bit sporadic! Writing, photgraphing, editing, printing and mailing just takes way too much time and isn't fair to the few people who are stuck with all the work. The job just doesn't pay enough!

So, what are we gonna do? Well, our goal is to have the best damn web site, chock full O pictures, tech articles and just stuff that is useful to Land Rover owners and off road junkies of all skill levels. We are also going to focus on FUN events, whether they are off road, camp outtings or just social get togethers the common goal is to have fun.

Hopefully if you are reading this you approve of the changes and will join us at the next West Connecticut Rover Club event. As always, if you are interested in helping us out behind the scenes at events, on the web site or running the club give us a shout.

Look for the all new web site shortly, in the mean time if you have questions or comments don't hesitate to post them on the all new bulletin board.
Thank you,
WCRC- Board of Directors
